PM Launches Primax 95 Xtra, PDB's New F1 Tech-inspired Fuel
KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today launched Petronas Dagangan Bhd's (PDB) Primax 95 Xtra, a F1 technology inspired fuel, which will replace RON 95 fuel.
The new fuel which will be sold at the regulated price of RON 95 fuel was launched by Najib at the Petronas Twin Towers, here in conjunction with the unveiling of PDB's new brand tagline "All The Way".
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Amir Hamzah Azizan said the launch of Primax 95 Xtra, showcased the importance of continued research and improvement to the Primax line of products.
"We also believe that growth cannot only be in terms of the number of Petronas service stations we have, but also in continuously improving the quality of our fuel," he said in a statement here.
Amir Hamzah said the new fuel would be available at over 950 Petronas service stations nationwide, replacing the previous Primax 95.
"The robust combination of advanced combustion improver and friction modifier in the Primax 95 Xtra delivers efficient combustion and reduces internal friction to achieve maximum work for every drop of fuel burned.
"In addition, the new synthetic detergent used in the fuel also provides superior edge to clean and maintain engine cleanliness for optimum performance," he said.
At the launch, Malaysia LNG Group of Companies (MLNG Group), a subsidiary of Petronas, donated US$2.5 (RM7.55 million) to the Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) as a contribution to the relief fund for victims of the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami which struck Japan on March 11.
The donation was handed over by Najib to Japan's Ambassador to Malaysia Masahiko Horie.
